Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Labour is proposing changes to O. Reg. 490/09 - Designated Substances and the Codes for Medical Surveillance, Respiratory Protection and Measuring. The proposal includes updating and incorporating the respiratory protection and measuring provisions requirements for designated substances directly into O. Reg. 490/09 and updating and consolidating the medical surveillance provisions into a new Code for Medical Surveillance.

The Ministry has prepared a consultation proposal for public review and comment that highlights the proposed changes to O. Reg. 490/09 and includes a copy of the proposed new Medical Surveillance Code for Designated Substances.
